Services

MGF Sourcing is an independent US-led global sourcing company founded in 1970.

Our customers have high expectations for us, not only for high quality garments and outstanding service, but also that their products are responsibly manufactured. Integrity and doing the right thing even when no when is watching are important to us at MGF, as demonstrated by our key compliance requirements, programs, and initiatives:

Compliance Program

We have strict requirements in assessing suppliers before they get into our sourcing matrix, and each year we re-assess to monitor their performance on a regular basis. We have also developed at supplier ownership program, which was designed to educate and enhance our factories through continuous improvements.

Supplier Code of Conduct – In addition to implementing and adhering to our customers' guidelines and requirements, we have developed our own Supplier Code of Conduct which goes even further and details our expectations on labor, health, safety and environmental standards as well as brand protection for all suppliers working for us.

Audit Program – All of our Tier 1 and key Tier 2s are assessed by our 3rd party monitoring partners regarding social and environmental focus.

Corrective and Preventive Actions and Follow ups – All findings needing correction are prioritized and followed up proactively to ensure that any issues are quickly fixed.

Vendor Compliance Officer Program – All of our Tier 1 suppliers are nominated with the vendor compliance officer (VCO) who engage with our compliance team not only equipped with up-to-date compliance knowledge but also get mentorship to improve compliance management skills.

Partnership in multi-stakeholder organizations

We are dedicated to participating actively in different organizations in anti-human trafficking, supplier management, environmental compliance focusing on carbon emission, and other initiatives which match our sourcing values, including but not limited to:

The Mekong Club, ILO Better Work, Textile Exchange and Higg Index, the Signatory of Social and Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), the BSR HerProject, the Apparel Impact Institute on Carbon Technical Assessments, and many more...

Transparency and Traceability initiatives

With the introduction of ULFPA in June 2022, our mill strategy focuses on mill transparency and cotton traceability through various initiatives:

Supply Chain Mapping  Full transparency of the supply chain and review for any connection to violations under US Laws and Regulations, as well as Entity Lists.

Engagement  We engage our garment and mill suppliers with clear policies and expectations, which are confirmed in a commitment letter. We then dedicate time and resources to train and support them through Risk Analysis Survey Assessment Training.

Due Diligence  To ensure proper processes are followed, our MGF compliance teams conduct mock detention exercises, core documentation review, and examine the proof supporting China cotton is outside XUAR region.
